In Matthew 9:37-38, Jesus says to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” The evangelical outreach team at Maranatha exists to equip believers to serve as God’s faithful laborers in proclaiming the good news of His Kingdom.
Outreach Ministry
VISION
Our vision is to reach out to all Ethiopians and Eritreans (and others) so that they may come to know the truth and be saved.
MISSION
Our goal is to prepare, enlist, and task Christians for evangelistic effort.
GOALS
- Give believers the resources they need to become “fishers of men” by refocusing the church on the Great Commission. (Mark 1:17)
- Encourage and help believers to participate in an evangelistic campaign.
- Nurture new converts.
- Motivate and encourage Christians who have been called to be missionaries.
- Make a difference in our city by disseminating the message of the Kingdom of God.
- Encourage brotherhood amongst evangelical Churches in the City.
- Give Christians the resources they need to see the Great Commission not just as the responsibility of pastors and missionaries, but as their own personal calling.
